C60 Olive Oil Interview: Who is Professor Fathi Moussa?

Professor Fathi Moussa and Tarek Baati where the researchers that published the Universtiry of Paris Study in April of 2012, that showed rodents that had been given C60 Olive Oil had their lifespans almost double in length. This breakthrough study has provided many answers regarding how the study was performed.

However, here at C60.net we had more questions regarding the C60 Olive Oil that Professor Fathi Moussa used in his study. So we flew to Paris France, to ask the good Professor our questions. We met him at the Paris Trousseau Hospital in the Department of Biochemistry, where he lends his expertise to the hospital’s medical doctors and patients.

I can’t help but wonder if C60 might also be involved in the removal of the normally low levels of Progerin present throughout the lives of most mammals. Given its effects on the accelerated aging of children with Progeria, which produce vast quantities of it in comparison, it could well point to a better treatment if it does.

So, why not to start using C60 for humans now? Is there any risks, for nanoparticles etc for starting use of C60? I´d gladly be my own rodent 🙂

Here in the United States, C60 cannot be used as a dietary supplement, and can only be purchased for research purposes. However, in other parts of the world, it may be acceptable. Some people here in the United States have made batches of C60 Olive Oil in there kitchens with much success. I personally know one person who has taken more than 3 liters of C60 Olive Oil to match the amount per kg, given to the rodents, by drinking almost a cup of C60 Olive Oil a day. He also believes it is not toxic. Most people think that lower amounts daily may do the trick. However no one knows what the optimal dose maybe or if it will work as well on humans. That is why the study that Professor Fathi mentioned that the NIH may do is so important.

Great interview Anthony. So amazing that you got to meet with him. Were you able to ask him off camera about people (me being one of them) currently taking C60 EVOO and his thoughts on that? Also did you ask him if he himself had ever thought about or begun such treatment on himself?

I did talk to him off camera about a few things, however they were related more to why people used to think that C60 was toxic (I might have a recording of it, as we were breaking down the equipment at that time), how he lends his expertise to various hospitals and patients, and how he does not want his name associated with any product because he doesn’t have control over it’s safe production. I could understand his concern, specially because purifying C60 is done using some chemicals that need to be cleaned off the C60 before it can be used. Concern over companies running to market a product, and skipping safety standards, is always an issue. Now, he did say that he has been approached by older folks after publishing his study, asking him for C60 so that they might benefit. I personally think he would like more studies that duplicate his findings before anything else happens.

Very enilghtening interview. Thank you Anthony for making the effort. I was pleased to hear that:
1) Filtration and centrifugation are unnecessary.
2) It is important to avoid light exposure due to singlet oxygen formation.
3) A larger study is planned.
